Pouring The Slab

The process of pouring a concrete slab.

Site preparation: The site must be cleared of debris and levelled.

Forming: Forms are used to create the shape of the concrete slab.
Reinforcing: The concrete slab may be reinforced with steel mesh or rebar to increase its strength.

Mixing: The concrete is mixed in a concrete mixer.

Pouring: The concrete is poured into the forms.

Curing: The concrete is cured for a period of time to allow it to harden.

We use high-quality materials and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that your concrete slab is poured correctly and meets your expectations. We also take the time to explain the process to you so that you understand what to expect.

If you are looking for a reliable and experienced concrete slab pouring company, contact Dean Concrete Pouring today. We would be happy to answer any questions you have and to provide you with a free estimate.

Different Types of Slab

Which slab is right for your project?

Ground-bearing slabs are the most common type of concrete slab. They are used to provide a solid foundation for a variety of structures, including patios, driveways, and walkways. Ground-bearing slabs are typically 4 inches thick and are reinforced with steel mesh to provide strength and durability.

Suspended slabs are supported by beams or columns. They are often used in commercial and industrial applications, where a high level of strength and durability is required. Suspended slabs are typically 6 inches thick and are reinforced with steel beams or columns to support the weight of the structure.

Unreinforced slabs are not reinforced with steel. They are typically used for smaller projects, such as patios and walkways. Unreinforced slabs are less expensive than reinforced slabs, but they are also less strong and durable.

Mud slabs are a type of concrete slab that is poured directly onto the ground. They are often used in agricultural applications, where a low-cost foundation is required. Mud slabs are typically 1 inch thick and are not reinforced with steel.
